Happy Photon keeps image formation, creative edits, and output conversion in a deliberate order. Preview and export share that path, so the finished file follows the photograph you developed.

    Measured as-shot white balance, built-in camera characterization, and DCP profiles when available.

  2. 02Form the image

    Lens corrections, highlight reconstruction, and a scene-referred AgX tone engine shape RAW data without a baked-in picture style.

  3. 03Shape color

    White balance, color mixer, saturation, and skin-aware vibrance operate through a wide-gamut perceptual color stage.

  4. 04Finish detail

    Capture sharpening, noise reduction, output sharpening, vignette, and deterministic grain resolve at the right stage.

  5. 05Deliver

    The result converts to an embedded sRGB or Display P3 profile and carries normalized metadata under your control.

The controls to finish a photograph. Not a cockpit to manage.

Work across the whole image or draw linear and radial masks for local Exposure, Temperature, Tint, and Saturation. Feather the transitions, position masks on the image or numerically, and refine each adjustment with undo and redo.

LIGHT / TONE

Recover the scene, then shape it

Set exposure, highlights, shadows, contrast, and RAW highlight recovery. Refine the result with a composite curve or independent red, green, and blue curves.

COLOR

Correct neutrals. Direct attention.

Use Kelvin and tint, Auto white balance, or an eyedropper. Then work with saturation, skin-aware vibrance, and an eight-band hue, saturation, and lightness mixer.

DETAIL

Separate capture from delivery

Apply source-aware capture sharpening that responds at Fit, wavelet luminance and chroma denoising, and RAW noise reduction. Choose independent Screen or Print sharpening when you export.

FINISH

Make the frame feel complete

Crop, rotate, straighten the horizon, and correct vertical and horizontal perspective against an alignment grid. Add a controlled vignette or deterministic monochrome grain that stays stable from preview to finished output.

MEASURE WHAT YOU SEE

Scopes for decisions, not decoration.

Read the display histogram, luminance waveform, or RAW sensor histogram. Toggle highlight and shadow clipping, inspect before and after in a synchronized split, press and hold for a 1:1 loupe, zoom in device pixels, or enter Assess mode for an invariant mid-gray surround and white reference.

Windows previews follow the active monitor profile; macOS previews carry sRGB intent into the system compositor. Fit views never enlarge a photograph past 1:1, so small images stay at their native size.

Happy Photon starts from the sensor and builds the image deliberately: measured as-shot white balance, highlight reconstruction, camera characterization, optional DCP profiles, database and embedded lens corrections, and true monochrome RAW handling.

Deliver JPEG, PNG, WebP, or lossless 16-bit TIFF in sRGB or Display P3. Preserve normalized EXIF, strip GPS when needed, and rely on collision protection that refuses to overwrite a loaded original.

The dedicated Export workspace keeps selected captures in a filmstrip and proofs the output pixels before delivery. Its queue keeps running while you continue working.
